Johnson County embarked in a redistricting process to meet statutory requirements.

The cities in the First District include: Merriam, Mission, Roeland Park, Westwood, Westwood Hills, Mission Woods, Mission Hills, Prairie Village, Leawood (except for the southern most precincts), and includes northern Overland Park (to 79th street).
