Championed transitioning to renewable energy and the County now receives 50% of its energy through renewable energy resulting in tax savings and efficiencies in building operations.
Advocated for stormwater management projects to address water quality and native landscaping to address erosion, water pollution, and residential flooding.
Led the expansion of recycling specifically hazardous waste to move to a new expanded site.

Protecting and preserving our emergency medical system and public health is one of the most solemn duties of any elected official.
I have championed specialized crisis mental health teams that bring together our 911 staff, paramedics, mental health and aging staff, and nurses to work in partnership with our first responders.
I champion improvements to our mental health crisis service system, including the establishment of a youth crisis stabilization support service center.
Expanded our aging services through additional investments in home-based supports to assist older adults maintain self-sufficiency and independence.

As your Commissioner, I will be a prudent steward of your tax dollars balancing fiscal accountability with excellent community services to attract business, high paying jobs, and quality public education.
Ensuring maximum value for every tax dollar helps Johnson County continue to keep a Triple A Bond rating. Johnson County is one of 42 counties in the nation that receives the AAA bond rating. The highest bond rating possible enables the County to pay a lower interest rate on its bonds, attract investors, and save taxpayer dollars.
